Video game developer BioWare and FUNimation have formally announced a partnership with Japanese anime production studio T.O. Entertainment to develop a feature length OVA based on BioWare’s sci-fi RPG series Mass Effect. Reportedly work is already underway on the anime, which will be released on home video and digitally in summer 2012. T.O. Entertainment has previously produced anime series including Baka to Test to Shokanjyu, MM!, and Densetsu no Yusha no Densetsu and also May 2010 Legendary Pictures announced plans to develop a live-action Mass Effect motion picture.
